Can you master the "Con-TRI-ption"?

The Con-TRI-ption —the unusual tri-geared contraption— traverses a triangular game area by feeding a single loop of chain through three large motorized gears and three small pulleys that slide along the boundary of the game area.

The challenge is to master the gearing system to make the Con-TRI-ption go where you want, accumulating fuel and points while avoiding deadly tri-pedoes.

Adding to the challenge in Tri 2 are new spinners that temporarily change the positions of the color-coded gears ... and triple the value of the point targets.

Play Spin Doctor

The player controls the motorized gears, causing each to spin clockwise or counter-clockwise or else to stop spinning altogether. The twenty-seven combinations of spin and non-spin allow the Con-TRI-ption to move in twelve directions, to move at double-speed in six of those directions, or to idle in place (in three different ways).

Each gear has its own fuel supply. Capturing a color-coded fuel target boosts this supply (or drains it!). Capturing enough point targets to achieve the next level replenishes all gears' supplies ... and accelerates game play. (Impatient —or fool-hardy— players can manually accelerate the game speed at any time.)
